Best Books I Read in 2011

Okay, so that was a lame title. I was going to call it "Best Books of 2011" but I didn't want readers thinking those books had been published in 2011. Because none were. And okay, I'll only be sharing two books with you today...also lame not too exciting ( I don't want to use the same word twice). Here we go with an AWESOME two books and two AWESOME reviews to go with! P.S. I am pretty much a tween still, so these books may be a tad young for some of you...but you'll still probably want to read them anyway!

First up, The Mummy, the Will, and the Crypt  by John Bellairs. I did not take this pic but I saved it into my own file to use it without an image location.  But on with the review! Okay, the bottom line is that this is what I call an RSB, a.k.a. Really Scary Book. It is full of spine-chilling action and mystery that will make you unable to put it down...or sleep for the next 25 nights at least. I will give you a passage for an idea of what's inside...

Suddenly, a silvery voice began to sing, " A tisket,  a tasket, a will in a wicker basket. I found it, I found it, I green-and-yellow found it."

But that's the only one I could remember exactly, since I am only typing this by memory , which I believe is accurate to the actual work. Basically, it's about a boy named Johnny looking for a mysterious will left behind by a millionaire, and facing all sorts of strange terrors along the way.

And then we have the Sisters Grimm, book one. Again, I did not originally own this image, but I saved it into my own computer file. I haven't gotten past two thirds yet, but here's the blurb...

For Sabrina and Daphne Grimm, life hasn't been a fairy tale. After the mysterious disappearance of their parents, the sisters are sent to live with their grandmother- a woman they believed was dead! Granny Relda reveals that the girls have famous ancestors, the Brothers Grimm, whose classic book of fairy tales is actually a collection of case files of magical mischief. Now the girls must take on the family responsibility of being fairy tale detectives. Their first case? A roller-coaster ride of an adventure to stop a giant from destroying their new hometown.

Hooked? You'll want to try this out!
