Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Cupcake

The Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters seem to be really popular/loved among most beauty bloggers (although some-I believe-may disagree) and have been making quite a mark. I think these are just, ya know, colored cream balms with a rich texture and a nice shade selection. I just don't see what's so special about them, but we'll see...

The lip butters are packaged in the typical Colorburst quilted container, with a sleek black ribbon around the base. It's actually pretty sturdy. The texture is actually a dream: creamy, rich, and smooth. I love the shade selection and decided to pick up Cupcake, a cotton candy pink, although Lollipop (fuchsia), Cherry Tart (blue-based cherry red) and Sweet Tart (coral-pink) were also jotted down on my mental to-buy list. These are actually a tad pricy ($6 for a lipstick, meh) but I was able to snag this one for about $4 with a coupon. This has a glossy, creamy finish I love. Now I see what all the buzz is about!
Opened, it's a slanted shape (BTW, my background is an E.L.F. face kit I'll be reviewing soon)
Swatched, it looks shimmery in almost direct sunlight but really is more glossy.

Super Short Post: Revlon Nail Enamel in Sunshine Sparkle

Hey guys, I have someplace to be but still haven't done my daily post so it's gonna be a short one. I hope you don't mind my hurry, I will be back to my normal posting length tomorrow.

This Revlon nail polish is a lovely pale yellow color with loads of positively minuscule shimmer. It applies okay, although it has a somewhat watery consistency and turns out incredibly sheer. It kind of pools on the nails if you apply too much. Nonetheless, it is a quite pretty color and the packaging is sturdy although quite boring.
The shade name from the top of the bottle...
Messy swatch on my thumbnail, you can barely see it!

Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Pink Pop

Hi! As you guys probably all know by now, I am a lip gloss addict an am constantly adding new faves to my collection. One of my recent loves is *drumroll* Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in shade Pink Pop!

No, this is NOT new! In fact, most of the stuff I review has been around for awhile because I just started my blog in December 2011, so...yeah. You get the picture. But forget that, time for a review! Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Glosses are a lineup of jellyish-cream glosses with moderate pigmentation and loads of lovely shine. They are housed in a sleek rectangular-prism tube with a black lid as glossy as the formula, trimmed with the practically signature gold band. Pop Pink is a non-obnoxious fuchsia on me. Nevertheless, I love the formula, shade and packaging altogether- I will definitely be getting more of these beauties!
A blurry swatch that brings out the texture but really missed
out on the delicious shine.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Balm in Clear Crystal

Seriously, how cute can lip gloss get? Very...take a look at this! Wait, just so you know, I snagged this on clearance at my Walgreens, since it came out last year with the Summer Romantics collection. I don't think it's available in stores anymore (unless you're lucky like me and dig it out of the clearance bin!) but there's always eBay!  But anyway...

Here it is! Isn't that just adorable? Although it looks more pale turquoise in the pan, but like the two other shades of this product, it is completely clear. First of all, this has to be best-packaged Revlon product EVER. The top, which stores a tiny yet usable lip brush, flips open to reveal a crystal-like pan of light bluish-teal gloss sprinkled with faint silvery white glitter and a delicious watermelon scent. However, the balm itself is thick and a tad sticky, making it difficult to spread. Other than that, this balm is amazing! Oh, and I didn't swatch it because it is pure clear with glitter. The glitter is not gritty, since it is microglitter built in with the formula.
Look at that little pot of balmy goodness! If you can't see the sparkle,

The brush and top of the container. How cute!

Revlon Colorburst Lipsticks in Candy Pink and Pink Sugar

Hey guys! Yesterday night, I went to this Italian restaurant called Pasquini, then to King Soopers, then to Monster Mini Golf. Before we talk about the new makeup I bought, I want to tell you guys about the mini golf place. It's built near our nearest McDonald's, and it looked small and run-down from the outside. But when my family and I walked inside, it was quite the surprise! Turns out, the place is huge, with 18 holes, all sorts of scary structures...and guess what? It was completely glow-in-the-dark! Even the white shirt I wore glowed! But anyway, forget that. It's time to introduce two of my new top lipsticks!
Here we have Revlon Colorburst Lipsticks in shades Pink Sugar (L) and Candy Pink (R). Candy Pink is a slightly iridescent fuchsia, while Pink Sugar is a  sparkly peach/nude with faint pinkish undertones. The thing that's disappointing for me (I have naturally pink-tinted lips) is that neither shows up all that well on me. Hmm, it's okay in the end, I guess. The texture is fairly nice, and it's easy to apply with the wide slanted shape. My pet peeve about Revlon lip products is the yucky taste and smell. Meh, I don't think there's any more for me to complain about or compliment!

An Award-Winning Lipstick...I KNOW I'M OVERDOING IT ON THE BEAUTY POSTS!

Okay, I like makeup. A lot. But who cares, let's just POST!!! This one is based on a gorgeous lip color crowned the best of '11 by the Allure magazine. Yep, it's Revlon Super Lustrous Pearl Lipstick in shade Softsilver Rose. Gotta love that pink! It is a hue just around fuchsia, with a silvery shimmer and a slight mint aroma. It is somewhat sheer enough with a smooth and soft texture you don't get in most lip products, even those expensive Sally Hansen items that claim to be "advanced formulas". Yeah, right! No wonder this got such a great review!

Revlon Super Lustrous MATTE Lipsticks in Sky Pink and Stormy Pink

Okay, so I am a tad young for makeup. So? I still have an interest in it. Recently I bought two Revlon Super Lustrous lipsticks in shades Sky Pink and Stormy Pink. Despite the entertaining fact that they are antonyms, the shades are fantastic and I love the texture. Here they are swatched and in their full glory. Anyway, the trick to applying these without getting messy results, dab it across and do not smear. I like the texture of these and the colors are great, so I overall love them.
