More Pics for Philosophy Cream Blush

Hey, sorry I forgot to post a few shots in my last post, a review of my new Philosophy blush and it messes up my post if I put them in separately after the others in one post.

Pan comparison with theBalm Hot Mama, don't look too similar but..
Swatch comparison, hard to tell which is which! Philosophy is at the left, and theBalm at the right.

Philosophy Lit From Within Cream Blush Review and Swatches+ New Twitter!

Hey loves, lil' update: I now have a Twitter! Plz follow, Tweet, etc. me @athenalovescows! I appreciate it, thx! Also, I have added some new Philosophy to my collection, and here is a little something I got:

Yep, probably my fave of the five things I grabbed-the Lit From Within cream blush. I picked up the shade Feel Warm All Over, a warm coral with subtle golden shimmer. It comes in black plastic packaging with a built-in mirror. The texture is nice and smooth without being too thick that it's unmanageable, it's actually pretty sheer and gives you a nice, warm glow. It's very similar to theBalm Hot Mama (another fave of mine), just in cream form and a little less orange/golden.
 Flipped open
Close up, my camera/lighting turned it so orange!
Swatched directly onto skin, then blended out.
Swatched on my cheek.

♥Thx for reading as always!♥

More Spy Cam: Walgreens Your Next! (Pic Heavy)

Hi! More spy cam...hope you like it! I have hit Walgreens to catch up on some new stuff, but it all looks kinda lame all in all...
The gem of this post-Wet 'n Wild Flora and Fauna 4-piece collections! Wow, full-size items (may I mention that I love all of these formulas/product?) for $4.99? Deal!!! Actually, doesn't the model look like a Dulce Candy clone? Lol I am seeing things.
Sally Hansen Compl...*yawns* what were we talking about again? Oh yeah, Sally Hansen Complete Salon Mani sets.
Look-Dream Bouncy BRONZERS!!!!! Oh yeah, and some dune-printed powders. Since I don't bronze (it makes me look like the sun burnt my skin to a glittery golden piece of toast-that was an overly elaborate description comparison...) none of this stuff looks very interesting to me.
More (huge) bronzer from Rimmel...is it just me or the is the model sunburnt bad? That is not a good look...
Oh yeah and the rest of the Maybelline bronzers. Excuse the mens grooming supplies underneath...
SH Diamond Strength...the colors look pretty nice...
Essie Sure Shot...I am not a pastel person really.
$14 for a teeny bottle of nail polish (I usually scrub of my polish right away because I bite my nails...yes, really :p) ?!? No thank you!
 Essie Navigate Her.
Oh boy...looks like another one's jumping on the crackle bandwagon...
Although they do have the hugest shade range I have ever seen for crackle polishes.
SC Castaway...and yet even MORE crackle!!!
SC Color Block...not sure why half of it's gone cuz it just looks blah to me...
Girls in Pearls from SC...called "the sheer shimmer collection" which I do not like the sound of.
 Essie Luxeffects.
 CG LashBlast Fusion min-display.
Boring falsies...I learned a long time ago that drugstore lashes stink.
 Kiss NailDressed strips.
CG What's Hot display featuring Sofia Vergara.
 Boring FlipBlast lipsticks.
SC Lip Shine. These would be kinda cool but I am scared off by the creepy model, boring cheap packaging, and...
 The boring, overly shimmery colors.
SH Spring Salon Effects polish strips-which look like pure junk.
Revlon Tres Chic-the color s   (there's only one shade) look really boring but her shadow is pretty..
Group pic of the whole (not-so-new) Dream line from Maybelline.
Great Lash Lots of Lashes mascara...their formula is terrible...

Pixi Lumi Lux Radiance Powder

Of all the pretty palettes I've ever owned, I have to crown Physician's Formula Happy Booster blush and this rose mosaic palette as the prettiest. I was disappointed-and freaked out- about the price ($16? Gaahh, scary!) of a Mark palette, so I was able to fish this out of a clearance bin for a somewhat cheaper amount as to make up for it! Yay!

The shade I got my hands on was-yep, number 01-Peach Petal. Being my first relatively "peachy" blush, I had no idea how to pull it off as I was so used to pinks and roses...until I noticed the cute, convenient how-to guide on the back. It was full of great tips, you can even use the shades on your eyes! This is a great formula, half-matte with a not-too-loose powdery texture. It's silky to the touch and perfectly pretty!
The beautiful, jade green paper-cardboard box with the fairy
and UGLY clearance sticker garnishing it.
The back of the box: a sample image of what's inside, a product description, and
the little tips-and-tricks panel from the makeup artist who created it.
Closeup on the gorgeous, super-intricate rose design!
Swatches of each singular shade: brown leaf coming out of corner, other deep nude leaves,
background peach, center (rosy!) rose, and pinky peach roses on sides.

Physician's Formula Happy Booster Glow and Mood Boosting Blush in Pink

As I have heard, the PF Happy Booster Blush range contained two shades, Rose and Warm, until they added the shade Pink. Drugstore cosmetic companies need to come up with better/less boring names for their products, don't they? Anyway, I bought Pink and am in LOVE...well, pretty much. WARNING: Prepare for some serious cam overload!

No, it's not weird photo editing, it's a side shot! As you can see, this adorable blusher is printed with 3-D, popup hearts in all different shades of pink. It is just plain CUTE!!! I love the colors, hearts (they remind me of mini balloons without strings, floating around and bouncing and shooting out everywhere!), and aphrodisiac aroma. The scent is really the icing on the cake. I love the smell of fresh-picked violets, who knew it would be even better in a blush! The blush is packed firmly into the container, which does not feel at all flimsy (except for when you're opening up the brush's home, then the whole top part flips back hard and clacks against the lid) and is a lovely metallic fuchsia. The stuff is fairly pigmented, slightly shimmery, with a smooth and cashmere-like texture. I love the little bitty brush, too! Did anyone notice the handy mirror underneath the palette? LOVE THIS!!!
Shot from the front, in the shade this time so everything turns
bluish even though the colors are more warm-toned.
Closeup on the adorable little hearts (with the compact open)
Me holding it a bit further from the camera, mostly in the sun
with a strip of shade running down the middle.
The compact open to show the mirror an the brush hidden underneath.
So cute!
Closeup on the half-moon brush, isn't it cute? (How many times have I said that word 'cute'...)
I love the metallic red bottom with the bristles split into two shades,
pink and red.
Some very unclear swatches of the singular hearts, I don't remember the order
but they're all fairly similar.
The compact flipped over to display the product name, shade, blahblahblah. For the price,
this is a great product and this info on the bottom is really useful to
beauty bloggers like me who need to know all that for their posts to be right.

P.S. Guys, did any of you see that Ninjago episode (on Cartoon Network, the Lego show) 'Tick Tock'? ZANE IS A ROBOT!!! GGAAAAAAHHH, I am freaked! Wait, sorry Jay... I meant Nindroid. But still, that is just plain CREEPY! I am going to get nightmares because of you, Lego dudes! ZANE USED TO BE MY FAVORITE NINJA, but he is not a human (well, none of them are, they're actually minifigures!) so I am all FREAKED OUT about him! Lego guys, what are your PROBLEMS?!?!
The reason he never had a sense of humor is because his "funny switch" was not on. He flicks it on in front of his friends (the other ninja: Kai, Cole, and Jay) and starts singing this weird song in weird voices along to a super weird dance. Only Jay laughs his head off, as usual. Here is a video I took of the scene playing on my TV, I did not create this but I did take the vid:
LOL, look at the expression Cole was frozen in at the end.

Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blushes!

Hello! Yesterday I bought two things I had been dying for since forever...Maybelline  Dream Bouncy Blushes in shades Orchid Hush and Fresh Pink! I'm guessing these came out about a month ago, since the biggest display was missing about half the shades (if not more) when I arrived at my Walgreens. In fact, there were two displays of the product, one large and one hidden away beside a huge Sally Hansen nail polish shelf (har har har, trying to cache the good stuff, eh?) and only one held all the shades. Guess which one? Yep, the little one. But anyway, who cares? I got what I needed and let's leave it at that!

Just look at those beautiful containers! Ahhh, those fun fonts, those cute pots... This pic is the one that shows the shades as they are, since the lighting was perfect in that particular spot. Orchid Hush is a pale violet with faint fuchsia undertones that are practically invisible, this one seems to open more easily. Fresh Pink is a warm-toned fuchsia with not as much shimmer as Orchid Hush. Both of these come in sturdy containers and have a texture like no other. See, they feel creamy when you poke them lightly, but if you start digging your finger in and pushing it around it'll feel like it is inflated and you're shoving around the air inside. Although the colors are buildable, they are quite sheer and slip off after about an hour of wear.
Both blushes open. The lighting here was a bit brighter so they ended up looking almost neon although they're not...
Both shades swatched (Fresh Pink on the left, Orchid Hush on the right). See how sheer they are?
